Ed Quiggle, Jr. has lived in Northumberland County since 1988. He
spends much of his time engaged in political activism. Ed is an award
winning journalist, a two time winner of the Thomas Paine Citizen
Journalist Award. In 2011 Ed Quiggle, Jr. was elected as the Republican
write-in candidate for Constable of the 9th Ward of the City of
Sunbury. As Constable he has signed a resolution to restore our
constitutional rights and nullify the unconstitutional provisions of
the NDAA and PATRIOT Act, as well as a 2nd Amendment Preservation
Resolution to protect the people from unconstitutional gun
confiscation. He is a member of former Sheriff Richard Mack's Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association (CSPOA). In
January of 2014, Ed travelled to Las Vegas to attend a CSPOA
conference, where he joined Sheriffs and other peace officers from
across the country to draft and sign a resolution to protect the rights
of the people and to stand up against federal overreach. In 2013 he ran as an Independent candidate for Sunbury
City Council, finishing 4th place in a 6 way race. During the 2013
election he won the race for Judge of Elections as a write-in
candidate, but had to turn down the position. Currently Ed is serving
as the State Team Leader for PANDA Pennsylvania, as an advisor for the
Solutions Institute, and is the founder of People of Sunbury United for
Medical Marijuana. He recently testified in favor of legalizing medical
marijuana before a joint Health Committee and Judiciary Committee in
the state House of Represenatives in Harrisburg. He is a member of the
Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association, Susquehanna
Valley Liberty Alliance, and many other organizations that work to
promote liberty and our constitutional rights.
